Nowhere to Turn by Lynette Eason

Nowhere to Turn (Hidden Identity, #2)Book Description:
The day Danielle Harding takes her 11-year-old son, Simon, and flees from her abusive husband, is the same day Kurt Harding dies. A relieved Dani believes she and her son are finally safe--but in reality, the danger has just begun. When Kurt was alive, he took something important to a mysterious person. That person wants the item back and believes Dani now has it. As she and her son run for their lives, they have nowhere to turn, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, she won't be able to hide for long . . .

From the first breathless scene, this tension-laced story will hold readers in its iron grip. Bestselling author Lynette Eason propels readers along at a breakneck pace in a race to discover the truth and a better future.

My Thoughts:
I completely enjoyed this book.  Dani is getting away from her abusive husband.  She is taking her son, Simon, and going to disappear where Kurt can never hurt them again.  The interesting twist is the day she chooses to leave, Kurt is killed.  Now she believes she and Simon are free...only their problems are just beginning.  She now has to take Simon and run for their lives from a new threat (or two) and runs to Adam Buchanan and Operation Refuge for help.
I have to say that I completely disliked Kurt and his family!  That being said, they were written that way for a reason and the author did great on them.  Dani might think she is weak but I like how Adam sees her strength in the first meeting.  There were parts I laughed, parts I wanted to yell at the characters, and parts that I reread because they were just awesome.
5/5 for me!  I enjoyed the whole story, suspense, romance and all of it written superbly well!

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book.  I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
